Notice of Budget Committee Vacancies for Lane Fire Authority - Apply By April 20th, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
Lane Fire Authority is seeking qualified applicants to fill vacancies on its Budget Committee. Applicants must reside within the boundaries of the fire district.
Applications must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 20, 2026.
Applications may be obtained and submitted using one of the following methods:

Lane Fire Authority appreciates the community’s interest and participation in the district’s budget process.
Budget Committee
The Lane Fire Authority Budget Committee reviews the proposed budget in conjunction with the Fire District Board of Directors. The Budget Committee act as community oversight for the business of the District and have the opportunity to discuss the details of the Fire District programs with the staff and other Budget Committee members.
Budget Committee members are non-compensated positions appointed by the Fire District Board of Directors. The Budget Committee meets, typically, once annually, in the month of May. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.
The Budget Committee is comprised of the five Board of Directors and five Community members.
