ABOUT LFA

Lane Fire Authority provides fire, life safety and emergency medical services (EMS) to 45,000 residents over 282 square miles in the scenic Willamette Valley. Santa Clara Fire and Lane Fire Authority boards are in a 190 agreement that consolidates services.

Our team of 75 career and volunteer personnel responded to approximately 7,300 calls last year, 81% of which were EMS-related. Our career staff includes 24 line positions, 1 day car lieutenant/paramedic, 3 single roll day car personnel, 3 logistics positions, 1 code enforcement officer, 1 staff public educator, 1 training Captain, 1 training lieutenant, 1 part-time volunteer recruiter/coordinator, 2 chief officer positions, and 2 administrative support positions.

We operate out of 16 stations, 3 of which have career staffing 24/7.  Administration is based at our Veneta Headquarters Station; ambulance service operations are out of the Irving station. The 13 remaining stations are supported by more than 60 dedicated volunteers.  Visit our District Map to see our stations and the communities we serve.

We operate an Advanced Life Support ambulance service with an Ambulance Service Area that includes several fire districts and extends into two other counties. Our fleet includes 14 Type 1 engines, 3 Type 3 engines, 2 aerial quints, 10 tenders, 2 heavy rescues, 4 squads, 9 light rescues, 2 rescue boats, and 5 ambulances.
